UX/UI Design
Project Brief
We were asked create an POC of a new B2B product which would allow the global investment industry to create, share and discuss industry trends and opportunities — all in one platform, through an intuitive and easy to use interface.
Approach
Having thoroughly studied the concept, client's industry and the target audience, we identified all the short comings of existing platforms. With the client brainstormed new ideas and worked together on the development of a product that would be bound to win in its space.

Overview
MercerInsight® Community allows members to gain free access to personalized, curated research to inform smart investment decisions.
My Approach
USER FLOW
I created user flows for general users as well as content managers and site administrators to see the path of each role on the platform, how they interact with the content, and each other.
At this stage, we started developing the concept of the platform. I made a moodboard to gain invaluable feedback from the product stakeholders. The idea was to design a clean, professional news site, but lighter and less cluttered than traditional outlets.
MoodBoard
The MVP
Since the product catered to users in the investment and business space, we began with designing around the idea of a fully customizable responsive homepage layout. Tailored to the articles, research, videos and events that you are most interested in. While still serving up new and trending articles so you can stay current while on the move.
Starting with Questions...
We created a list of ‘How Might We…’ questions to help us better align our user’s tasks and goals:
How might we provide an experience that is engaging and valuable to our users?
How might we allow them to access their research and other content through their mobile devices?
How might we provide a tailored experience that allows consultants and managers to see what’s most important to them?
All Aboard
The first big hurdle was I faced was designing a clean and intuitive onboarding experience. Not only to get the users acclimated with the intent of the site but also to get a feel of the personality of the user.
The MIC algorithm is based on taxonomies which Mercer Insights all root from. We needed a way to guide users to make a few simple suggestions to tailor their experience throughout the community.
Throughout the design and development of this site, Mercer went through three stages of rebranding. Our success in translating this to the app was through creating extensive atomic libraries within Figma in hand with tokenization to ease the heavy lift of multiple rebrandings.
I worked hand in hand with the leadership team and development to make this process as painless as possible, while still creating key deliverables.

Global Investment Forum
In Mid 2022 I was asked to craft an interface to house Mercers Global Investment Forum. A series of conferences held all over the world featuring TED talk like, business focused long and short format conversations. Which you could usually attend in person, but with the rise of Covid-19, video prevailed. Mercer had 2+ years of content they needed an outlet for. Leadership wanted Mercer Insight Community to become the platform to house this massive catalog.
Since we had existing templates and a library of components, I was able to sketch out ideas with the product owner. After research into other platforms UI, I was able to rapid prototype within Figma. Leading to delivering this addition tied to a very tight timeline to pitch to investors.
New module easily accommodated into the existing home page layout.

Finalized design utilizing the brand new design system and most current mercer branding.
